Wondering if you should hire a photographer for your proposal?

Well, if you want to enjoy the moment, live in every emotion, and have that live on forever, YES! If you are with family and friends you want them to enjoy the moment too! Hiring a photographer is a great idea to have those moments and memories captured so you can relive them for years to come, and even a little extra help along the way. These are some of the most pure and beautiful moments, documenting them is incredible.

You want the day you propose to go as smoothly as possible, and I can help you! I planned a surprise proposal for my wife in another country, along with a photographer, and I have helped plan surprise proposals here in the New Jersey and Philadelphia area. If you were looking for some inspiration or finishing touches for your surprise proposal, documenting the moments before, during and after, reach out to me, I would love to help! I personally love capturing surprise proposals because I get to talk with the person who is proposing and hear about their ideas, plans, and why this is so important to them. I get to help them come up with a game plan for the proposal - and then I kind of get to have a mission to blend into the surroundings while capturing the proposal.

My most commonly booked proposal coverage is one hour of coverage ($600) which covers the moments leading up to the proposal, the proposal itself, documenting the emotions and words being exchanged, then a short engagement style session following.

What about engagement sessions? Should we have one?

I 110% encourage having an engagement session together, especially with your wedding photographer! (I now provide engagement sessions to all my wedding couples included in their package!)

Your engagement photo session can be used for you and your wedding photographer to get to know each other, it gives you practice in front of the camera, you can get creative and really allow your personalities to shine through in your portraits, and it can just be a fun and affirming experience! Don’t forget these photos can also be used for your save the dates, fill pages on a guest book, and on decor at your wedding.

Also, if you want to incorporate your dog(s) into your wedding theme and they may not be able to be at the wedding, YES PLEASE BRING YOUR DOG(S) TO THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION I love them!

You can even check out my blog about including your pups here.

If you are looking for engagement photos that feel and look like who you are - and looking damn good - let’s start planning together!
